WAQF MOSQUE CONSTRUCTION

A mosque is considered a central institution in the life of a Muslim. Apart from its major use in the offering of the five daily prayers, it is also a centre of learning and social interaction.

It is due to this importance that the association has made efforts to facilitate the putting up of mosques in different parts of the country. In Garissa and its environs alone, the association has put up close to 20 mosques of different sizes and structures.

Communities in the outlying areas benefited from semi permanent mosques which were fitted with solar for lighting and public address systems for Azaan.

It is noteworthy that the teaching of Quran, worship and religious knowledge of these communities has greatly improved .
