New YMCH Library

The Young Muslim Children’s Home now has a new purpose built library for the children with a great selection of books & journals.

The wide-ranging books and journals were kindly donated from the UK by De Montfort University, Leicester – with the kind help of Imam Mohamed Laher and, by well-wishers of Kenyan origin from throughout London, Middlesex & Surrey.

New YMCH LibraryGetting good quality educational material to rural areas of Kenya is exceptionally difficult and as such, we are intrinsically aware of how great a contribution you have made to our students and to the people of Garissa.

You will be pleased to know that we have built the facilities and furnishings required to house the library and our children have already started to benefit from them.

We, of course, endeavour to protect and treasure these books, and have the children use the books with supervision and correct training to ensure that this legacy remains and is benefitted from for a long time to come.

Once again, I thank you on behalf of the YMA and our schools and children. Thank you so much!
