The YMA has successfully launched the ‘Al-Basaair School for the Visually Impaired’ at our Garissa Centre and is now intending to construct dedicated boarding and classroom facilities for visually impaired and disabled students.

At the school, we provide classes for the blind including full lessons in Braille & Quran and Islamic lessons in Braille.

Braille Student Sponsorship includes:

  • Classes
  • Equipment
  • Clothes
  • Food
  • Transport
  • Medical Aid

The Cost of Student Sponsorship is $75 a month.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.”

“And for the one who struggles to read the Quran is double the reward.”

Currently, due to boarding limitations, we can only cater for and provide transport to students in the Garissa area.

However, with your support, we now aim to construct dedicated boarding and classroom facilities for visually impaired and disabled students.

These facilities will be equipped with:

  • Classrooms
  • Boarding Facilities
  • Bathing Facilities
  • Kitchen Facilities
  • Health Facilities

The Cost of these new specialised facilities is in the region of $50,000
