Within the principles of Dawah, the YMA has also looked at the use of publications to communicate to the public en masse.
The YMA has translated, from Arabic to Kiswahili, two books specialising in giving Dawah to non-Muslims. These books not only serve as an inspiration to non-Muslims directly, but also encourages Muslims to go with confidence to talk about their religion to others. These books are:
- Al-Urf wa Idaarah as-Sirat as-Siyasi
(Custom & Management of the Political Path)
by Dr Abdul Hamid Abu Sulayman. - Laa Ikraha Fi Deen
(There is no Compulsion in Faith)
by Dr Taha Jaabir al-Alawaami.
In addition to this, the YMA has distributed over 5,000 translations of the Quran in the English language.
Recently, well-wishers from the UK have sent Islamic books in English for free distribution, which the YMA gladly received and distributed.
The YMA also has free permission to print and distribute almost 50 Islamic books from the UK-based publishing team, Fisabilillah – www.fisabilillah-digital.org
These books cover many topics including:
- Dawah to non-Muslims
- Dawah to Muslims
- Islamic Beliefs
- The 5 Pillars
- Acts of Worship
- General Islam
- Quran
- Hadith and Sunnah
- Prayer
- Practice
Donors can call the YMA to discuss the best titles to distribute for personal and bequeathed rewards.
