Young Muslim Children's Home

Young Muslim Academy started construction in 1978 and Learning started in 1980. It is a mixed integrated school which offers both Secular and Religious Education. Young Muslim Academy is a child centered school with main focus towards child growth and development, academic excellence and talent discovery. A Total of 36,794 students have passed through the school and currently the school has 820 students. In 2021 – 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education results, we managed to produce a top 10 countrywide in the Special Needs Education category nationally, and number 1 in North Eastern Region.

Currently school has 887 students; 567 Boys and 320 girls. In 2021 – 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education results, we managed to produce a top 10 countrywide in the Special Needs Education category nationally, and number 1 in North Eastern Region.

Young Muslim Girls high school
- 72 Total Students
The school, initiated in 2020, opened its doors in January 2023 with an inaugural class of 65 students. The aim of this program is to promote the education and empowerment of the girl child in the North Eastern region, where many disregard educating girls and are vulnerable to underage marriages. Currently the school has a total of 76 students.

Al Basaa'ir - School for The Visually Impaired
- 4 Current Students
The aim of this project is to assist those who are visually impaired to be well versed in reading The Holy Quran using Braille. We currently have 4 adults in the program.

This initiative aims to promote environmental and wildlife conservation through educating and involving children and youth, emphasizing the importance of protecting our natural world. We’ve formed partnerships with key organizations, including the Kenya Wildlife Service, Kenya Forest Service, Wildlife Clubs of Kenya, Giraffe Conservation Foundation, Nature Kenya, The One Movement (US), GreenPeace UK, and more.

Sisters of YMA

Sisters of YMA is a Women Empowerment Initiative under Young Muslim Association. It is focused on women empowerment and educating the girl child through our various programs. Sisters of YMA provides online platforms that allow women to advertise their businesses for free and also do pad drives to promote women empowerment and menstruation hygiene.
our main objective
- Empower Kenyan women all over, regardless of tribe, religion or race.
- Promote women businesses through free advertisements across YMA social media handles.
- Provide/teach different skills like baking, cooking, and sewing, with other partners, where women can be trained and be helped to set up businesses or even academies.
- Create massive awareness on the importance of girl education in our communities.
- Promote menstrual education and awareness among adolescent girls, while also advocating sustainable solutions such as reusable pads in alignment with our YMA Going Green initiative.
